If you’d like to play Call of Cthulhu with the characters of Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London novels, Chaosium has precisely that with investigator stats for Molly, Nightingale, Abigail, and Indigo (and yes, you can use them in Chaosium’s Rivers of London RPG).

Paizo doesn’t release to DriveThruRPG often, but they have with the Free RPG Day adventure from 2020, Little Trouble in Big Absalom where the party is made of up kobolds who get drawn into a big adventure involving a magical hedge trimmer.

You can also get the 2021 Free RPG Day adventure, Threshold of Knowledge, which places the players in the roles of students from Magaambya who must track down their missing professor.

While it’s shown up a couple of times on EN World already, I feel I must bring up Darrington Press’s release of the Candela Obscura Quickstart Guide which is the subject of the current new series on Critical Role.

And Kobold Press released a preview of the Tales of the Valiant 5e variant they currently have on Kickstarter. The 63-page preview features four classes (Fighter, Priest, Rogue, Wizard with two subclasses each), four lineages (elves, dwarves, humans, and beastkin), eight monsters, the new Talent and Luck systems, and more.

Sebastian Baar released a starter set for EDGE, a new RPG system that “tries to bridge the gap between old-school roleplaying and a more modern, cinematic style of play” which comes with a trio of one-shot adventures in different genres plus the bonus four adventure in this bundle, Valorn’s Tomb.

Fishwife Games has a pair of supplements for GMs in a hurry, the first is 50 Hirelings 7 with fifty hirelings with full name, gender, role/occupation, active description, background description, and expected salary useful for any fantasy RPG.

The second is 50 Scoundrels 13, again usable in any fantasy RPG with full name, gender, general description, worn clothing/armor, carried weapon(s), carried treasure and coins, and an extra carried item of interest.

Age of Ravens Games has a playbook for Masks: A New Generation called The Crew. “When you gained your powers, you were uncertain and unsure. But a team of people joined together to help you out. Perhaps they were responsible for you gaining your powers, maybe they created your tech, or maybe they just kind of fell into your orbit.”

Lyn Roxas released a tarot-based RPG Foretold where the results of actions are determined by pulling tarot cards from individual Decks of Fate leaving you to decide if the results were random chance or destined by fate.

Over on Dungeonmasters Guild, Decio Michellis Neto has a playable version of the Gnoll along with subtypes that are based on real-world hyenas.

Doug Strain brings the most terrifying thing possible to 5e with The Book of Vile Math. Yes, math in your RPG! Nine chapters of puzzles based on geometry, logic, physics, computer science, and more with that even the author describes as “Dante’s voyage through the nine circles of mathematical hell”.

I’m a big fan of the cheesy horror movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space so I’m thrilled that Gabriel Gro has brought them to 5e with Space Clowns: Jovial Predators with four different clown-inspired monsters along with magic items like the Seltzer Bottle and Squeaky Shoes along with the lore of Clownspace.

And what could go better with clowns than a carnival, as Adam Gierke released Falling Star Carnival – Hunt for Winter’s Trophy, an adventure for 5th to 7th level characters about the Falling Star Carnival which just arrived in the frosty city of Stormreach.

If you want an alternative for potions for your games, why not try a nice cuppa? Jefferson Chalmers released Tempest in a Teapot – The Art of Brewing Tea with fifty recipes to magical tea brews with unique effects along with new feats and new magic items.

Cacklin Slayers has the adventure Rotmother’s Rhyme for a party of level 4 characters. The adventurers are tasks with tracking down a nobleman who went missing in the swamps in an adventure inspired by the folklore of Baba Yaga.

Over on Storytellers Vault, Lorelai Walker released Pretty Guardian Faerie Knights, a Hunter: The Vigil conspiracy inspired by shoujo magical girl anime and manga. Inspired by the dreams of disaffected modern youth, these magical girls use the powers granted by the Seelie Fae to face down their Unseelie enemies and other creatures that go bump in the night.
