With launch day for Lost Ark fast approaching, Amazon has been introducing us all to various parts of Arkesia, showing off the game’s different zones, showing what PvP and PvE challenges will be like, and more. Now that we’re hitting February tomorrow, it’s time for server information, as well as pre-download, and Head Start details.
There will be four different server regions for Lost Ark’s launch: US West, US East, EU Central, and SA East. There are nine EU Central servers, seven for US East, four in US West, and two for SA. When it comes to core content like raids, dungeons, or PvP events, there will be a scaled event time that should help these events occur at better times for each region. The in-game time on the UI will reflect server time in the player’s time zone, so US West will show Pacific time.
If a dungeon is supposed to open at 7 p.m. server time UTC, it will open up seven hours later for US West to make it happen at a time when the most players are likely to be active.
Everyone can pre download the game whether or not they purchased the Founder’s Pack. This will begin on Monday February 7th at 9 a.m. Pacific Time/5 p.m. UTC. You won’t be able to create a character or reserve a name ahead of time. Both of these will lock in only when you complete character creation in either Head Start or official launch. If you purchase the Founder’s Pack then you’ll be able to log in on Tuesday, February 8th at 9 a.m. Pacific time for the three-day Head Start. If you buy a Founder’s Pack during the Head Start you can play until the end of it.
Next Friday is the big day where launch begins for everyone. The servers will open on Friday, February 11th at 9 a.m. Pacific time for all who want to play. For more on the server and launch plans, to see the full server list and more info, see the announcement over at Lost Ark.
