The open-world MMORPG The Quinfall has just released a patch that adds a recently-announced 3v3 player-versus-player arena to give a more controlled competitive environment.

“This is our fully queue-based competitive arena where you don’t walk in to pay an entry fee or stack advantages—you queue up, get matched, and fight on equal terms,” the update post reads. “Fair matchmaking, structured teams, and a controlled environment built purely around skill expression.”

In this best-of-three format, to prevent cheesing in this regard, only one healer and one tank are allowed. Given the focus on skill that’s emphasized, there are also no outside advantages allowed, meaning no consumables nor scrolls. There’s also a ranking system, which rewards the top performers at the end of each week with special “meaningful loot.”

The new patch for The Quinfall comes with some other major changes, too, including removal of the Combat Zone pay wall and dropping the price of some item stores. Plus, huge to note is that some PvP and PvE tokens have been made untradeable to stem real money trading.

Just the other day, they added a big website that lists out all of its banned cheaters.
