NCSoft is preparing to unveil more about its upcoming MMORPG Throne and Liberty next week. The company has released a teaser for the preview to whet appetites for the longer presentation.

While the teaser itself is just a minute long, it does offer a peek at the scale and scope of some of what Throne and Liberty looks to be. Whether it’s opening a door onto a vast, open landscape, with a shore and rocky hills set against a blue sky dotted with clouds, or a craggy field from which creatures rise from the dark, even this short teaser works to make you want more.

The subtitled translation from the Korean offers, “We present the world we’ve been dreaming of. Thrilling with life during the day, yet mysterious at night”. The images present throughout take us through spaces where we can probably imagine massive battles, similar to what the team has previewed in the past for internal playtest videos. Spaces where you can look and imagine the control and cover points. Still, there’s a sweeping over the land, over, down, and through motion motif going on to this presentation, and Throne and Liberty is making an impression.

The full director’s preview will be out on December 27th, and that’s all we know at this point about what to expect from that presentation. Still, outside of a couple of tiny looks in the past, and those internal tests that NCSoft gave a look at a couple of months ago, there hasn’t been much. More excitement then for the full presentation to come out next Tuesday.

In one week, we’ll all get to see more, and maybe learn some more about features, or even a more specific release window. NCSoft has been dripping out info about its next slate of new games for a bit, and this looks to be one of the most solid looks yet.
