The Last Oasis team has opened up their public test realm for Season 6, Chapter 2. The PTR features a number of changes and fixes that they are planning for season 2, which are pretty wide-ranging and include performance improvements and crash fixes, balance tweaks, adjustments to walkers and modules, and crafting reworks.
There are a number of performance improvements, including performance optimizations, as well as fixes for a number of issues. Some of these performance improvements involve visual changes, like replacing volcano lava pools with a default lava plane, despawning obsidian from eruptions, and even adjusting some POIs to spawn more dynamically instead of just static placement.
Resources and crafting get a number of reworks, as well as player experience improvements. Some tools and resources are getting moved into different categories. Lava weapons are with the crafting bench. And they’re also putting in checkboxes that you can use to allow containers as your source for remote crafting.
Central to Last Oasis’ combat are the walkers and modules. Here, they’ve improved quarries and rebalanced their output, enabled walker modules on Balang and Silur, As well as made a couple of tweaks to cool Downs and durability.
Overall, this is a pretty sizable update and it makes sense since it is going to be for the launch of a brand new season.
