DC Universe Online is marking Superman’s first appearance in Action Comics with its annual Superman Day Event, running now through April 27. If you’ve been looking for a reason to log back in, Daybreak is handing you one with cosmetics drawn from two very different corners of the Superman mythos.
The event pulls its aesthetic from both Absolute Superman and Superman Beyond, and that split actually makes for an interesting reward lineup. On the unlimited side, you’re looking at the Beyond Kryptonian Slimline Chest and Legs Styles alongside emblems from both the Absolute and Beyond lines. One-time account rewards include ten Flawless Nth Metal, 10,000 Ally Favor, 50 Stabilizer Fragments, and supply boxes for both Mogo Sprouts and Source Marks. Characters also get a one-time Skill Point Token, which is the kind of quiet, practical reward that tends to matter more than the cosmetics for players working through their builds.
Content-wise, the event funnels players into Doomed Metropolis for five open world daily missions, a set of weekly missions including bounties for both Heroes and Villains, and a slate of featured instances spanning solo, duo, alert, and raid formats. Last Son of Krypton, Earth 3: The Visitor, Phantom Zone, and the Doomsday raid are all on the table. This hits hot on the heels of the springtime event that released earlier this month, shoving a ton of content out in short order.
