The Quinfall, a new MMORPG that is being developed by Turkish developer Vawraek Studios, dropped a gameplay trailer over the weekend while also making bold claims about its upcoming MMORPG world.

In a showcase trailer dropped over the weekend, The Quinfall takes place in a middle-ages style setting, with players able to slice and dice enemies, as well as wield magic to fell their foes. The trailer shows off a few different combat styles, from staff-based Mage gameplay, ranged bow and arrow attacks to brutal, close-range sword and board gameplay. We also get some glimpses of what looks to be an open-world boss with a couple dozen players taking it on together.

Vawraek states that the gameplay seen in the trailer is still in alpha. The website itself claims it’ll take advantage of Nvidia’s RTX suite of technologies, though the trailer states that none were used in the footage. It also takes place in a variety of biomes, from deserts to lush open fields, to snow-covered landscapes. Large-scale cities, such as one fantasy-themed city that evokes the waterways of Venice, also dot the various worlds in Quinfall, with the narrator also stating that we will see them across mountain tops, and even underground.

The Quinfall will also feature a weather and season system which will interact not just with how the environment looks, but with your character as well. The narrator states that animals and some plants might not be as prevalent in a biome depending on the season. The trailer shows the effects of flooding as well, with a large basin filling up with water thanks to a massive rainstorm. The world will also feature shops and taverns run by players, minigames and a music creation system.

There is a lot on display in the trailer, which is nearly twelve minutes long. It highlights many of the features coming to Quinfall, including sailing, base-building, climbing, time-traveling, and much more.

Developed on Unity, Vawraek’s website claims that this MMORPG will feature the world’s largest in-game universe, with the narrator in the video stating it clocks in at 2016 square kilometers. Vawraek claims players will undertake a journey to “determine the fate of Middle-earth.” (I’m sure the Tolkien Estate would like to have a word).

You can check out the full trailer in the embed above. Currently the website is taking applications for the closed beta test,
