To say The Game Awards has a lot of announcements would be an understatement. We’ve compiled a list of some of the evenings biggest reveals. While not an exhaustive list, here are many of the titles that stood out during Geoff Keighley’s three-hour long extravaganza.

Homeworld 3 Announced, Launching Q4 2022

At The Game Awards tonight, Homeworld 3 was announced during the preshow. Homeworld 3 will be a standalone game and can be added to Wishlists today on Steam and the Epic Game Store. Check out the trailer below.

Gun Interactive Developing Multiplayer Game Based OnThe Texas Chain Saw Massacre

A new multiplayer title based on the 1974 film Texas Chain Saw Massacre is coming from the teams at Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham. An asymmetrical multiplayer game, which isn’t new to developer Gun Interactive, and while we don’t have a ton of information, we can likely be sure to see more in the coming months. Check out the trailer below

Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga Gets Gameplay Trailer

Senua returns in an impressive trailer which Keighly said, “It’s not a cinematic, it’s gameplay.” As a quick reminder, this will be an Xbox and PC exclusive because developer Ninja Theory is a first party Microsoft studio. Check it out below.

Star Wars Eclipse Announced

High Republic-era Star Wars game, Star Wars Eclipse, has been announced in development by Quantic Dream. The upcoming Star Wars game will be an “action-adventure, multiple-character branching narrative game,” according to the website and is currently in its early stages of development. The website also states that the Outer Rim region, which will act as a setting, will showcase “never-before-seen species and planets” for fans to discover.  Here’s the announcement trailer.

Wonder Woman Game By Monolith Teased

A single-player Wonder Woman game was teased at The Game Awards this evening, coming from the Shadow of War studio Monolith. While we don’t know too much about the title itself, we do know that Monolith’s Nemesis system will be used within this game.

 

Alan Wake II Announced, Releasing 2023 on Xbox and PC

That’s it. That’s the announcement. Described as, “Remedy’s first survival-horror genre,” we can all dive in 2023. We’ll hear more about it in “summertime” 2022.

Horizon Forbidden West Receives Gameplay Montage Trailer

A trailer showing off a montage of sorts for Horizon Forbidden West shared some new gameplay clips. You can check out Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 and PS5 when it releases on February 18, 2022.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade Heading to PC December 16, Exclusive to Epic Games Store

Yup. It’s happening. Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade is heading to the PC on December 16. It looks like it’s exclusive to the Epic Games Store. We recently reviewed the new version of Remake on PS5 when it released early this year, in case you were wondering how it holds up (as well as the Yuffie DLC, which will be coming to PC as well)

Nightingale, Shared World Survival Action Game, Announced for PC

Ex-Bioware devs at Inflexion Games are currently developing Nightingale for an Early Access PC release in 2022. You’ll explore a vast land, set up farms, craft, and more. Here’s the trailer:

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Warrior Priest Out Today

Fatshark announced today a new career for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, the Warrior Priest. The new career brings a new talent tree, abilities, weapons such as the Reckoner Great Hammer and Skull-Splitter Hammer and much more for Victor Saltzpyre. 

You can grab the DLC todayon Xbox and Steam, while PlayStation consoles will be getting this next month in January 2022.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Revealed

The legendary franchise is back, as it was announced tonight that Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive are making Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The upcoming third-person action title seeks to capture what made the original game so great for many fans out there, with brutal combat and storytelling.

Forspoken Out May 24 on PS5 and PC

Forspoken, formerly known as Project Athia, received a new trailer showing off new gameplay. You can check it out May 24, 2022 on PS5 and PC.

Lost Ark release Date:

Lost Ark has a new release date, after being delayed into Spring 2022. The MMOARPG is coming to PC via Steam on February 11th, 2022. Though, if you grab the Founder’s Pack, you can hop in a few days early on February 8th.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

From Rocksteady, the creators behind the Batman: Arkham series, comes a new game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Take on some of your favorite super heroes as some of the Squads most popular characters, such as Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark and Deadshot. The Justice League has been brainwashed and it is up to your team of misfits to stop them before they destroy the world in this exciting upcoming action game.  

PUBG Is Going Free-To-Play

PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds, the first major battle royale game to hit mainstream success and launch a genre is going free-to-play on January 12th. While the game has lost some popularity compared to Apex Legends and Fortnite, a free-to-play move might bring players back into the fold next month. 

Steelrising Shows Off More Story In New Trailer

Steelrising, the upcoming action RPG from Spiders and Nacon gave viewers at The Game Awards a bit more about the story itself. Set during the French Revolution in 1789, the narrator talks about King Louis XVI and his theory of animal magnetism. The protagonist, Aegis, is another automaton that is being heralded as the “angel of death.” Check out the trailer and see if Aegis lives up to that name in the trailer below.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

Sequel to 2019’s A Plague Tale: Innocence, A Plague Tale: Requiem is heading to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Switch in 2022. Amicia and her brother Hugo will face new challenges and threats as they try to start anew after the events of A Plague Tale: Innocence.

ARC Raiders 

ARC Raiders is an upcoming free-to-play cooperative third-person from Embark and Nexon, seeing squads of three take on endless machines dropping from the sky. Raiders, the first title from former EA chief design officer Patrick Soderlund, is coming in 2022 and will be hitting PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as GeForce Now.

Elden Ring Shows Off A Weird Creepy World

We were treated to a new trailer for Elden Ring which shared some of the weird and wonderful creature design we can expect to see in our travels. The trailer, narrated by our new maiden Melina, hinted at the lore as well. You can check out the trailer below. Elden Ring releases on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation systems on February 25, 2022.

DokeV Shows Its Moves In KPOP Dance Video

Remember DokeV, the creature-collecting game coming from Black Desert studio Pearl Abyss? Well, they are back with another incredibly beautiful – and fun – trailer, this time showing the characters in the world of DokeV performing a KPOP tune that BOPs.
