Jewel of the North is the latest update for Neverwinter and it’s out now on PC bringing a more streamlined leveling system, a new class, and more. Read on for more details.
Jewel of the North was revealed earlier this month on with a release date for today on PC, and later next month for Xbox One and PS4. If you missed that original announcement, we’ve got you covered here.
Jewel of the North introduces a brand-new class, the Bard, and features major quality of life improvements, including a new streamlined leveling system which makes content more accessible for adventurers of all experience levels.
Matt Powers, Executive Producer for Neverwinter, noted in the accompanying press release,
“With Jewel of the North, we wanted to make it easier than ever for players to create a character and set out on adventures throughout the Forgotten Realms. The leveling experience has been streamlined, now better aligning with the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop experience, and we’re extremely excited to bring the highly-expressive Bard class to Neverwinter.”
As part of the streamlining, level cap has been adjusted to 20 from its previous 80. The reason for the squish is to make it easier to reach epic-level content much faster. This now means you can reach this content in an estimated 12 hours.
Quality of life improvements include two new locations in the Adventurer’s Guild and the Training Room. Additionally, the tutorial has received a major revamp to make it easier to follow for new players.
