Zenith: The Last City got its minor patch 1.1.8 today after a slight delay resulting from some issues found during PTR testing. Ramen VR has successfully updated the game and the update brings new cosmetic gear, event quests, bHaptics Hardware support for full body haptics control, quality of life changes, and more.

The update was originally planned to be added sometime between  August 9th and 11th, but  after that window past, the team made an announcement on August 12th at PTR testing brought up some important bugs that needed to be immediately addressed before the patch was released. After those bugs were fixed, the new date was set for today and now it’s live.

Zenith players can take on new event quests by finding Ali, a new NPC in the city alleyways. The patch added new quests, including dailies, that will drop a new currency called Neowear coins. This new currency can be used to craft new Neowear gear, which is the new cosmetic gear that comes in this patch.

Other changes in the update are mostly bug fixes and resolving some issues, but some of the quality of life changes include a confirmation prompt when disbanding or leaving a guild and shortened player respawn time in instances. The player respawn point is now on the platform in Infernal Core, and the boss room takes longer to close.

In addition to new bugs that were found during testing, including a problem where stamina was not being granted after completing Aetheric Upgrades, beater cosmetic blade weapons are now fixed. Now you can apply cosmetics to have futuristic looking swords as intended.

The update also fixed some other issues, including cosmetic items not getting added to tabs, and issues with Founder’s Headgear making characters bald when equipped.

Now your characters’ hair is safe. Read the full notes over at Zenith: the Last City.
