Diablo Immortal and StarCraft are joining in a crossover event starting next week. New rewards and gifts, themed events, a new Legendary Gem with Swarm capabilities, Kerrigan-themed cosmetics, and even iconic StarCraft Familiar skins.
The Aeon of Stars event is on from May 13th – June 10th. Just for logging in during the event, you’ll get a themed avatar frame, the new Baneboil 2-star Legendary Gem, and one weapon transmog inspired by Kerrigan, Queen of Blades. Also inspired by Kerrigan are cosmetics from the Phantom Market.
Baneboil, when equipped, lets you send out Banelings that swarm enemies and explode on contact, covering them in DoT acid, and makes them take increased damage. The Dark Ascension dungeon is a way to get this gem.
During the event period, rack up points to hit milestones on a special event reward track to unlock more loot, like a StarCraft-inspired portal, stickers, more Kerrigan-inspired weapon transmogs, Legendary Gear and Set items. You’ll earn those points through daily activities, limited time dungeons, and of course, slaying monsters.
A special boss fight is on the way, and up to four players can face the Protoss Tal’darim Templar and Ascended Archon together. These legendary RTS units are reimagined for the action RPG combat of Diablo Immortal. Expect modified mechanics, event-specific objectives, and of course, special rewards. Entry will require challenge tickets.
This event also features special versions of existing events and modes. Conqueror gets an event version with shrines to activate for StarCraft faction-themed combat orbs, with the drop you get matching the faction you pick before the match. Terran Stim Packs give movement and speed bonuses. Poison (Zerg) adds DPS poison projectiles to all attacks. Shields, the Protoss themed orb, grants a limited protective shield. Event will have a weekly faction based leaderboard.
Face the Zerg by finding and using a special Elder Rift Affix that will transform the experience, letting you face not just the Zerg but a special boss, the Feral Hydralisk. Completing this Rift will grant you exclusive legendary weapons with special affixes.
Two new crossover Familiar skins are coming to wrap your best companion in StarCraft’s Zergling and Immortal.
