In the new long-term Season in the social adventure MMO Sky: Children of the Light arriving this week, players get to not only help out the Wandering Carnival’s festivities, but also make carnival-like challenges of their own.
In this “Season of Carnival, players are beckoned to help set up the Wandering Carnival—and of course, when that’s done, they can partake in its activities and reap the rewards as well.
Five Seasonal Quests will be unlocked throughout the season, on April 17, May 1, May 15, May 29 and June 12. Each brings different challenges to take on, including an obstacle course, some ball shooting, and hanging up flyers for the grand opening of the Carnival.
Sky players will also get to create and join Shared Space Challenges, which will be available to build and play beyond the season.
The Seasonal Quests will unlock different components for the Shared Spaces, including some items that’ll help create limitations like time limits for the sake of challenges, as well as obstacles and goals like Bounce Pads and Challenge Tokens. By using a Challenge Flag, players can join these specific player-built challenges.

At the end of the season, at an unspecified date, players will be able to “enjoy the carnival alongside lots of other Sky Kids,” likely meaning there’ll likely be one last grand area to enjoy as many Seasons and events have. As usual, there’ll be an array of rewards to both earn and purchase in the shop.
This new Season of Sky launches this Friday, April 17 and runs until July 2. Already, there’s the Earth Day event going on until April 20, and there’s been a major patch this week that adds some new social capacities and brings some fixes.
