Warframe’s mysterious “Unannounced 2026 update” is Jade Shadows: Constellations, a surprise sequel to 2024’s Jade Shadows. Digital Extremes revealed the update in the latest Devstream, along with an animated short made in collaboration with THE LINE and the metal band ERRA.
The new animated short reveals two rivals from two future timelines, clashing to the sounds of “Crawl Backwards Out of Heaven” by ERRA. There are two versions to watch, one centering each of the two characters, Orion and Sirius. These two rivals turn out to be (spoiler!) the Stalker’s children. Jade Shadows: Constellations puts you in control of the Stalker once more, this time as a father. You’ll have either Sirius or Orion based on choices you made in Jade Shadows, and watch the potential futures collide.
The new Narrative Chapter will expand greatly on this when it’s out in June. Also coming in the update are new Protoframes. Vena and Ryoku are the Protoframe versions of Garuda and Ash. Each will have been caring for one of the brothers and will play a big role in the events and conflict.
The Uranus-Proxima region of the Railjack Star Chart is going to open, revealing two new mission nodes connected to Vena and Ryoku.
We’ll also see a Nidus retouch, with updates including boosted health and ability improvements. Also on the way? Dante Tytonis, the deluxe incarnation of Dante, in addition to a new skin for his Tome.
Returning much sooner is the Operation: Belly of the Beast, which has you help the Stalker defend the memory of Jade from Parvoa Granum. This will be back from May 4th to June 1st and will have new and returning rewards, including some that you earned by playing with clanmates.
Expect a new Devstream in May for lots more on Jade Shadows: Constellations and more.
