Elyon, the MMORPG formerly known as Ascent: Infinite Realm, starts its second closed beta today. The developers are celebrating with Twitch Drops and more during the beta period.

Elyon’s second closed beta test will run through August 23rd, letting players jump into the upcoming MMORPG releasing in the West this September. The beta test will also give players here in the West a chance to go hands on with a new class, the Slayer, as well as try out some new PvP arena modes and so on during the beta period.

Bluehole Studio and Kakao Games have set up Twitch Drops, which can help those who have been unable to get a beta code can earn simply by watching streamers who have drops enabled and are playing the CBT2.

Via a press release today:

In celebration of the CBT2 debut, Kakao Games has also established a series of Twitch Drops, which those who have not yet applied can use to gain access to CBT2 directly. Players who link a Kakao Games account with their Twitch account and participate in Elyon streams will receive:

  • CBT2 Access after 1 hour of viewing (CBT2 only)
  • Chick (Pet) after 3 hours of viewing (CBT2 only)
  • 3,000 + 100 Ruby Box after 5 hours of viewing (CBT2 only)
  • Jet Board A mount after 7 hours of viewing (for official launch)

Amongst the events prepared for CBT2 will be a character customization contest, the winners of which will see their designs added as presets on the character creation screen.

If you’re looking for more information about the different classes and their skills, Elyon’s developers have put together a video showcasing the classes themselves ahead of the beta test. The video breaks down the different classes and skill customizations players can expect to see in the second closed beta, and can help make the decision as to what your first character will be when Elyon launches on September 29th.
