EverQuest  is adding another of its long list of expansions to the free to play list for all. This time, 2019’s Torment of Velious is making the move, and is available to play now.

This expansion was originally released in December of 2019 and opens up several new places for you to explore, including the Crystal Caverns, Kael Drakkel, Ry’gorr Mines, the Eastern Wastes, Velketor’s Labyrinth, and The Great Divide. If you hadn’t owned the expansion before, now’s the time for you to put on some layers and explore the frozen terrain.

There are a number of quests, missions, and raids to occupy your time, new abilities and spells, and new collections too. At the best price of them all.

Darkpaw Games has even added the original 2019 trailer to the announcement of the free to play transition, so you can enjoy the look at EverQuest history, or just to get a taste of new zones and missions awaiting you. “An icy infection invades,” and “unravel chilling mysteries” The play on words is still alive.

Also in the current update, there are two new item bundles of different tiers. The Call of the Forsaken Standard Item Bundle includes:

  • Journeyman’s Pocketed Rucksack
  • Vestments of the Forsaken I
  • Gargoyle Statue
  • Metamorph Totem: Tirun
  • Painting: Naythox Thex
  • Painting: Cristanos Thex
  • Mark of Neriak

And the Call of the Forsaken Additional Items Bundle has a few more goodies,

  • Ethernere Wurm Saddle
  • Honeycomb Satchel
  • Hive of the Bixie
  • Contract of the Bixie

Yet the fun is certainly alive in the whole variety of new content that is now freely available. There’s no prerequisite or membership needed, so if you’re an EverQuest player, you’ve got some new tasks to complete.
