The upcoming indie fantasy MMORPG Profane has updated the roadmap to reflect the latest progress made on the game. The recent update shows some strides made in fleshing out guild systems while also inching closer to some more consistent progress with NPCs and mobs.

One of the most notable updates on the roadmap is the completion of the Death feature. This will allow players to fully experience death as intended for the Alpha version. This includes the down system, and the ability to experience the basic respawn mechanic as well. As a sandbox MMORPG with open PvP and full loot, you’ll want to make sure you’re not dying that often, but now with the new death feature in place, at least you’ll be able to experience it as intended.

Gatherers, and their fellow crafters, can also rejoice as the completion of the Gathering feature has also been confirmed. The guild system has seen some significant progress as well. The Altar feature has just been implemented, which will allow players to make offerings to their guild. This only leaves the Protection Area feature which, once finished, will mark the guild systems off of the roadmap as completed.

This update shows that the developers have made significant strides in fleshing out the guild system, as well as making headway on the Mobs & NPCs feature since we last reported on the game back in November of 2022. While it still seems like Profane has a long way to go, INSANE Studios has been very consistent with their roadmap updates, and have provided a lot of concept art and video progress along their journey. It’s good to see the completion of various features and progress on others as the development team continues to make steady progress in bringing the game to life. You can also follow their progress every Sunday in our very own Indie MMO Spotlight column, where you can find information on Profane along with plenty of other exciting indie MMOs.
